Wray Residency – October 2023
Wray and Nephew, often seen as the rum brand of Jamaica, has permeated many cultural spheres within the UK – helping inspire new vibes, movements and sounds.
So for this year’s Wray Residency, we put Wray’s Rum Punch at the centre by celebrating the impact the brand has had on the diverse mixtures of culture within London.
Held at Hackney’s hotspot – Colour Factory – the night saw incredible performances from headliners Stylo G and Ding Dong, plus sets from heavyweights Invasion Crew and Rampage Sound, and an incredible genre-fusing back-to-back between Ms DSF and Izzy Bossy.
To also highlight Wray’s community impact program – Wray Forward – the venue featured stalls from some of the Black entrepreneurs and businesses that have come through the initiative.
